Easy step of knowing Web hosting Company availability

The first step before registering a name is to know if it’s available. The Second step will be registering it.

So, are you ready? Hope I am not boring you with these rigorous processes. After all, I am confident that you will end up with not only a name but a real estate after reading and understanding this article. When I say a real estate I mean a domain name that generates income just like a real estate does. So here we go...

Begin the first part by doing a search on ‘Whois’. Whois is an option available with any registrar company. This is just to check whether that name is available or taken. Type the name plus the suffix without including the http:// and www part. Click the Whois search button. After clicking that button, you will know whether that name is available or already taken. If it’s not registered, then it’s all yours and you need to hurry to the next step.

Now that you have confirmed your name is available it’s time to run. Don’t deelaay! Or Gooo slooow! You need to register that name before it is snatched away by someone else! The proverb “walls have ears” may apply here. Hurry up to be the next step to be the owner.

In the second part, your registrar company will provide you with a form to fill the required details. Enter your desired name on that form and choose the extension you’d like. Then hit the search button. Choose the number of years you want to register your domain name. You can register your domain for more than one year but not more than 10 years according to ICANN rules. If you register it for more than one year, you might save some amount as you might be given a discount by your registrar company.

Choose or select your payment method. You have the following options; credit card, pay pal, check, master card, discover and visa.If the company you are registering your name has the option for selecting a private or public registration, then it’s better you select a private registration although it costs more than a public one.

It takes up to 4-8 hours for .com and .net domains to be activated and about 24-48 hours for other domain extensions.

Now you have a name for your business. You fully own it till it expires. If you don’t renew it, then you will not be the owner any more. So, note the expiration date so that to renew it on time.
